KANSAS CITY, Mo. - For the third year in a row and fourth time in five years, the Ashland University's men's basketball team was recognized for team and individual academic success by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
It was announced on Wednesday afternoon, the Eagle men earned the 2025-26 NABC Team Academic Excellence Award – the program's eighth such honor since 2013. The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
Along with the teams third successive honor, the Eagles added three more nods on the NABC Honors Court list, with
Aden Gregory and
Josh Hotz both receiving recognition for the second straight season, and
Cooper Davis who became the 27th player since 2013 to receive an Honors Court acknowledgment.
The Eagles men's basketball went 20-11 overall and 13-7 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference in 2025-26, and qualified for a conference tournament for the 12
th straight season. Ashland has won 230 games over the last 12 seasons, a span which also includes two conference tournament titles and five NCAA Division II postseason appearances.
