Ashland University's football team took two of the three weekly Great Midwest Athletic Conference awards on Monday (Sept. 29) afternoon, as redshirt senior quarterback
Cameron Blair (offense) and redshirt freshman cornerback
Damien Johnson Jr. (special teams) earned conference Athlete of the Week laurels following AU's 21-13 win on Saturday (Sept. 27) at Northwood.

Blair was 18-for-22 for 159 yards and a touchdown passing, completing passes to nine different receivers. He added 52 yards on 10 carries, and punted four times for a 43-yard average, with one boot landing inside the 20-yard line.

Johnson Jr. blocked a punt and returned it 25 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter, and added a solo tackle, an assisted tackle and a half-tackle for loss. His blocked punt was Ashland's 24
th blocked kick since the start of the 2022 campaign, and its third block so far in 2025.

The No. RV Eagles (3-1 overall, 2-0 Great Midwest) will go to Kentucky Wesleyan (0-4, 0-2) on Saturday (Oct. 4) at 5 p.m. for their fourth road game out of the first five contests of 2025.
