Women’s Lacrosse Earns 2025 Academic Plaudits From IWLCA

As announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) on Wednesday (July 23) afternoon, Ashland University's women's lacrosse team and seven players were lauded with academic honors.
 
The Eagle team is a IWLCA Academic Honor Squad for the third consecutive year and fourth time in the seven-year history of the program. To qualify, the team must have posted a 3.2 grade-point average or higher during 2024-25. Ashland's team GPA was 3.39 in the fall of 2024, and 3.43 in the spring of 2025.
 
For the fourth straight year, Ashland has had multiple IWLCA Academic Honor Roll selections. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a junior, senior or graduate student, and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher:

• Junior attacker Fiona Dadas sports a 3.84 cumulative GPA through spring of 2025 as an Education (Primary Grades Intervention Specialist PK-5) major. In six games this spring returning from injury, Dadas posted two goals and two assists for six points.
• Junior attacker Cat Davis is an Exercise Science major with a cumulative GPA of 3.51. She missed the entire 2025 season due to injury.
• Junior goalkeeper Annie Duncan has a 3.61 cumulative GPA as a Social Work major. A College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selection, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and first-team all-league, she was 12-6 with a 10.36 goals-against average and 119 saves this spring.
• Junior defender Lauren Hinders sports a 3.65 cumulative GPA as an Exercise Science major. A CSC Academic All-District, all-conference and all-conference tournament team selection, she started all 20 games and finished with 49 ground balls and a team-high 26 caused turnovers in her first season at the position.
• Senior defender Julia Intagliata graduated in May with a 3.62 cumulative GPA as a Psychology major. In 10 games (one start) in 2025, she had three ground balls.
• Junior defender Taylor Sharlow is a Marketing major with a cumulative GPA of 3.65. She played in 16 games (one start) in the spring, recording three ground balls and a caused turnover.
• Junior attacker Sidney Voss has a 3.55 cumulative GPA as a History major. She posted 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points over 18 games (13 starts), and added 13 ground balls and 15 draw controls.

Ashland women's lacrosse's 2025 season featured a 14-6 overall record (most wins in a season in program history), Great Midwest regular-season and tournament championships (firsts for both for the program), and the team's first-ever berth in the NCAA Division II playoffs.
