On Tuesday (June 17) afternoon, nine Ashland University student-athletes were recognized on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division II at-large Academic All-District teams.
The at-large category consists of all sports which do not have their own individual Academic All-District teams.
Ashland's nine honorees are:
- Redshirt junior wrestler Nate Barrett. A Dietetics major who graduated with an undergraduate grade-point average of 3.65, Barrett finished 2024-25 with a record of 29-11, and with two pins, 12 technical falls and seven major decisions. He was a 2025 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) D-II Scholar All-American, as well as a national qualifier at 165 pounds. Barrett is CSC at-large Academic All-District for the second year in a row.
- Sophomore women's lacrosse midfielder Ashley Drexler. The 2025 Great Midwest Athletic Conference's women's lacrosse Elite 26 Award winner, Drexler has a 4.00 cumulative GPA through the spring 2025 semester as an Exercise Science major. Also second-team all-conference, she recorded 27 goals and 31 assists for 58 points in just 16 games, and added 22 ground balls and 29 draw controls.
- Junior women's lacrosse goalkeeper Annie Duncan. Duncan is a Social Work major with a 3.61 cumulative GPA, and in her first season in the program, earned conference Goalkeeper of the Year and first-team all-league honors. She was 12-6 with a 10.36 goals-against average and 119 saves, starting all 20 games this spring.
- Senior women's golfer Grace Grant. Grant graduated as a Fashion Merchandising major with a 3.62 cumulative GPA. She finished 2024-25 with an average score of 78.0, and with three top-10 individual finishes, including second place at the home Eagle Invitational – earning All-Great Midwest recognition. This is the second year in a row for Grant as a CSC At-Large Academic All-District selection.
- Sophomore women's golfer LeeAnn Harker. An Analytics major with a 3.79 cumulative GPA, Harker was an All-Great Midwest performer in 2024-25. She ended the year with an average score of 76.8, had five top-10 placements, and was the individual medalist at the Ashland Invitational.
- Junior women's lacrosse defender Lauren Hinders. An Exercise Science major with a 3.65 cumulative GPA, Hinders was a member of the conference's first team and all-tournament team after switching positions prior to the season. She started all 20 games, and finished with 49 ground balls and a team-high 26 caused turnovers.
- Sophomore wrestler Hayden Kuhn. An Exercise Science major with a 3.77 cumulative GPA, Kuhn's 2024-25 record was 26-9 with three pins, five tech falls and 10 major decisions, and he was a 2025 NWCA Scholar All-American, national qualifier and Great Midwest champion at 149 pounds.
- Junior men's golfer Carter Mishler. A Sport Management major with a 3.83 cumulative GPA, Mishler earned All-Great Midwest honors following a 2024-25 season in which he had an average score of 73.1, and finished in the top 10 of a tournament on three occasions. Mishler is a CSC At-Large Academic All-District pick for the second year in a row.
- Junior women's golfer Klaira Paramore. Paramore, a CSC At-Large Academic All-District selection for the second time, sports a 3.92 cumulative GPA as an Economics major. An All-Great Midwest honoree, her 2024-25 average round was 78.4, and she finished with a pair of top-10 individual finishes.
All nine Eagles participated in the NCAA Division II postseason in their respective sports.
The 2024-25 CSC at-large Academic All-America teams will be revealed on July 8 (women) and July 9 (men).
