The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its 2025 NCAA Division II All-Midwest Region teams on Friday (May 16), and three Ashland University players earned spots on the second team.
- Senior right-handed pitcher Hunter Allen finished the spring at 7-1 with a 3.96 earned-run average, striking out 84 in 61 1/3 innings, and allowing opponents to hit .213. Allen also was a first-team All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference selection.
- Graduate outfielder Max Caron, also the Great Midwest co-Player of the Year and first-teamer, hit .396 with 37 runs scored, 15 doubles, a triple, three home runs, 41 RBIs and 12 stolen bases. He also sported a .498 on-base percentage and .531 slugging percentage.
- Junior first baseman Sam Witt was a .362 hitter this past season, adding 27 runs scored, nine doubles, six home runs and 21 RBIs. Witt also was a first-team all-conference choice.
Ashland ended its 2025 season at 37-19 overall and 24-8 in the Great Midwest. The Eagles played in both the Great Midwest and Midwest Regional tournaments.
