The National Football Foundation (NFF) released its 2025 Hampshire Honor Society honorees on Wednesday (April 16) morning, and five Ashland University senior football players are on the list:
- Whip Isaiah Clark had a 3.38 cumulative grade-point average through the 2024 fall semester as a Business Management major. In 2024, the second-team All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference selection collected 50 total tackles (30 solo), seven tackles for loss, two interceptions and a fumble recovery.
- Wide receiver Dru Johnson sports a 3.73 cumulative GPA as a Sport Management major. A member of the 2024 Allstate American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Good Works Team, he caught 23 passes for 337 yards and a touchdown this past season.
- Wide receiver Tony Pannunzio has a 3.92 cumulative GPA as a Biology major. A second-team College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America, CSC Academic All-District and second-team all-conference pick, he caught 59 passes for 933 yards and five touchdowns and blocked a kick in the fall.
- Defensive tackle Collin Strong is a Religion major with a 3.62 cumulative GPA. The CSC Academic All-District pick ended 2024 with 25 total tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack, an interception, a fumble recovery and a blocked kick.
- Safety Bobby Young has a 3.66 cumulative GPA as a Supply Chain Management major. Also a CSC Academic All-District selection, his 2024 campaign featured 32 total tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble.
Since 2008, 61 Ashland University football players have earned NFF Hampshire Honor Society status – 57 of those coming since 2015.

The NFF Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of the NCAA, NAIA and sprint football who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers.

Nominated by their respective schools, members of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society must be either:
- A senior player, who will graduate this spring/summer, and just completed his final year of playing eligibility in 2023; or
- A graduated player, who has been out of high school at least three years;
And must have:
- Attained a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.2 (4.0 scale); and
- Been starters or significant contributors throughout the 2024 season.
