As announced by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) on Monday (Feb. 3) afternoon, both of Ashland University's swimming and diving teams once again have been recognized as CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams – this time for the fall 2024 semester.
The Eagle women had a team grade-point average of 3.63 in the fall 2024 semester, and the Ashland men sported a team GPA of 3.50.
Since the fall of 2014, Ashland's women have been recognized as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team 15 times, and the Eagle men 14 times.
According to the CSCAA, to earn the honor, teams were required to achieve a GPA better than 3.00 during the fall 2024 semester.
"This recognition honors programs that achieve the highest standards in the classroom while representing their institution in the pool," said Samantha Barany, CSCAA Executive Director. "Coach
Hueston Holder, their staff, and the entire team have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to success both academically and athletically, setting a standard of excellence we can all be proud of."
Ashland's men and women will compete at the 2025 Great Midwest Athletic Conference/Mountain East Championships, Feb. 12-15 in Canton, Ohio.
