Trio Of Eagle Divers Qualify For 2026 D-II Championships

For the third consecutive year, multiple Ashland University divers will go to NCAA Division II nationals.

As announced by the NCAA on Wednesday (Feb. 25), three Eagle divers – junior Riley Hunt, senior Joey Lenczyk and freshman Macey Wade – will go to the 2026 NCAA D-II Championships, in Evansville, Ind., on March 10-14.

For both Hunt and Lenczyk, this is their third time at nationals each. Hunt tied for 14th place in women's 3-meter diving at nationals last year, becoming the first AU woman to score team points at nationals since Hannah Mattar in 2016.

Wade makes nationals in her rookie collegiate season.

Ashland had three divers qualify for nationals in 2024, and two in 2025.

The diving qualification meet at nationals will be on March 10. Those who move on from the qualification meet will compete at nationals on March 11 (men's 1-meter diving), March 12 (women's 3-meter diving), March 13 (men's 3-meter diving) and March 14 (women's 1-meter diving).
