Holder Lauded As Men's Conference Coach of the Year

Lenczyk Wins Third Straight 3-Meter Diving League Title

On the fourth and final day of the 2025 Great Midwest Athletic Conference/Mountain East Championship in Canton, Ohio, Ashland University's swimming and diving program landed a fourth conference diving title.
 
Junior Joey Lenczyk won the men's 3-meter diving for a third consecutive season, taking the title with 450.20 points. In winning both the men's 1-meter and 3-meter diving, Lenczyk earned Men's Diver of the Meet for a third straight year.
 
Sophomore Riley Hunt is the conference's Women's Diver of the Meet for a second year in a row, while head coach Hueston Holder earned the league's Men's Coach of the Year honor, after leading the Eagle men to a second-place finish in the nine-team field (1,556 team points, second to Findlay's 1,791).
 
Holder is the first AU swimming conference Coach of the Year since Paul Graham in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in 2010.
 
On the women's side, Ashland was third of 10 teams (1,046.5 points, Findlay first with 1,965).
 
Second-place finishes on Saturday night were turned in by freshman Tanner Collins in men's 3-meter diving (322.05 points), freshman Yasmim Tomita in the women's 200 backstroke (2:04.87), and the men's 400 freestyle relay of sophomore Colin Pham, junior Cole Huebner, senior Robin Falk and junior Nick Girz (3:06.19).
 
THIRD – Junior Jason Basile in the men's 1,650 free (16:28.87) and Girz in the men's 100 free (46.13 seconds).
 
FOURTH – Falk in the men's 100 free (46.25 seconds).
 
FIFTH – Sophomore Grant Brown in the men's 1,650 free (16:41.06), junior Jack Elliott in the men's 200 breaststroke (2:08.62), and the women's 400 free relay of freshman Raechel Serafimov, sophomore Blair Pichola, junior Mary Kate Prall and sophomore Juliana Pignato (3:40.48).
 
SIXTH – Pham in the men's 200 back (1:54.93).
 
SEVENTH – Sophomore Evan Kemp in the men's 200 back (1:56.01) and freshman Brooke Patel in the women's 200 breaststroke (2:31.94).
 
EIGHTH – Fifth-year Josh Hagan in the men's 1,650 free (17:20.05).
