Eagle Men, Women Lose Dual At Edinboro

On Friday (Sept. 24) night, Ashland University's men's and women's swimming and diving teams lost a dual at Edinboro.
 
The Eagle men lost 117-103, and the AU women were on the losing end of a 130-85 score.
 
Six Eagle individuals/relays earned victories on Friday night, with junior Colin Pham leading the way. Pham won the men's 200-yard backstroke in 1:59.66, and joined junior Evan Kemp and freshmen Lincoln Shirley and Trei Durstine to take the men's 400 freestyle relay in 3:13.35.
 
Senior Jason Basile touched the finish line first in the men's 1,000 free (10:22.81), the women's 400 free relay of junior Juliana Pignato, freshman Katelyn Claugus, senior Colleen Cox and junior Payton O'Toole won in 3:43.50, and Eagles won both 1-meter diving events – senior Joey Lenczyk on the men's side (265.36 points), and junior Riley Hunt on the women's side (265.22 points).

  • The women's 400 free relay of sophomore Raechel Serafimov, junior Anna Ramsier, senior Megan Tomasic and freshman Joselyn Hensley (4:00.41).
