The 2025-26 Ashland University swimming season opened on Friday (Oct. 10) on Day 1 of the Oberlin Early Invite.

Nick Girz (men's 50-yard freestyle, 21.44 seconds) and junior
Evan Kemp (men's 200 individual medley, 1:55.20) earned runner-up finishes in their respective individual events, then they teamed up with junior
Colin Pham and senior
Jack Elliott to place second in the men's 400 medley relay in 3:27.02.

Ashland's men are second of four teams with 251 team points (Case Western Reserve is first with 513) after the first day, while the Eagle women are third of five teams with 211 team points (Case Western Reserve first with 399, Hillsdale second with 235).
