The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has revealed its first national indoor track and field rankings for 2025 – and both of Ashland University's teams are starting the season in the Top 10.
AU's women are No. 9 in the country, and the Eagle men are No. 10 in the nation, going into Indianapolis' Midwest Classic on Friday and Saturday (Jan. 31-Feb. 1).
Of the Eagle women's 74.70 team computer points, the majority have been earned by:
- The 4x400-meter relay team of junior Montana Walker, sophomore Brianna Chenevey, junior Jade Avance and senior Mia Gardner (fourth in D-II, 3:43.64, 16.14 points).
- Sophomore Molly Winner in the weight throw (fourth in D-II, 19.13 meters/62-feet-9¼, 16.04 points).
- Chenevey in the 200 dash (seventh in D-II, 24.28 seconds, 10.00 points).
Ashland's men have 72.04 computer points, and those mostly come from:
