Eagle Baseball Wins Sixth Straight, Now 9-1 Through 10 Games

Box Score Ashland University's baseball team continued its Florida roll on Friday (March 8), winning 12-3 over Holy Family for its sixth consecutive victory.
 
The Eagles are 9-1 through the first 10 games of 2024 – matching their best start since 2019. The Tigers are 4-7.
 
A four-run top of the first inning put Ashland up for good, thanks to back-to-back two-run doubles from sophomore right fielder Chris Franks and junior third baseman Jeremiah Cangelosi.
 
POST-GAME NUGGETS
  • Franks, Cangelosi and junior center fielder Cam Miller each recorded three of AU's 15 hits in the victory. Franks drove in three runs, and Cangelosi and junior designated hitter Max Caron each added two RBIs.
  • Junior right-hander Ethan Stevens (1-0) earned his first victory as an Eagle, going the first five innings and allowing two hits, a run and three walks while striking out eight.
