Ashland Trio Of Divers Compete At D-II Nationals

The three Ashland University divers who qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division II Championships competed in the opening round of competition on Tuesday (March 12) at the Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio.

• Freshman Riley Hunt finished in 20^th place in women's 1-meter diving and 23^rd in women's 3-meter diving.
• Sophomore Joey Lenczyk was 26^th in men's 3-meter diving and 30^th in men's 1-meter diving.
• Sophomore Maddi Whitticar placed 47^th in 3-meter diving and 48^th in 1-meter diving.

Tuesday's action finished a successful 2023-24 season for the trio. At the 2024 Great Midwest Athletic Conference/Mountain East Conference Championships, Lenczyk and Hunt were named conference Divers of the Meet for men and women, respectively. Lenczyk won both men's 1-meter and 3-meter diving conference titles, while Hunt won women's 3-meter diving and Whitticar took women's 1-meter diving.
