Geiser Earns 2024 Great Midwest Coach Of The Year Honor

Prior to the start of the 2024 NCAA Division II playoffs, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference released its football season awards for the current campaign on Thursday (Nov. 21) afternoon – and Ashland University head coach Doug Geiser was the Eagles' headliner.

Geiser is the 2024 Great Midwest football Coach of the Year, as he guided the No. RV Eagles to an 8-3 regular season, outright conference championship and a berth in the D-II postseason – which begins on Saturday (Nov. 23) at 1 p.m. at No. 6 Charleston (11-0).

This is Geiser's first Coach of the Year award in his second season at the AU helm. He is the fifth Eagle head coach to be named a conference Coach of the Year, and this is the 19th such award presented to the program.
