Eagle Women, Men Win At Home Vs. Oberlin

Two Eagle wins were the result of Ashland University swimming and diving's home dual on Saturday (Nov. 2) vs. Oberlin at the Messerly Natatorium.
 
The Eagle women topped Oberlin, 183-111, while the AU men did the same, 149-147.
 
Sophomore Payton O'Toole won three individual events on Saturday, taking the women's 200-yard freestyle (1:59.44), 100 free (55.27 seconds) and 100 individual medley (1:03.59). Earning a pair of individual titles were sophomore Riley Hunt in women's 1-meter diving (210.00 points) and 3-meter diving (245.80 points), junior Joey Lenczyk in men's 1-meter diving (192.45 points) and 3-meter diving (245.10 points), freshman Yasmim Tomita in the women's 50 backstroke (27.56 seconds) and 100 back (58.57 seconds), junior Nick Girz in the men's 50 free (22.02 seconds) and 100 breaststroke (59.16 seconds), and sophomore Juliana Pignato in the women's 100 butterfly (1:01.41) and 500 free (5:26.71).
 
Single individual wins were earned by senior Colleen Cox in the women's 50 breaststroke (32.51 seconds), senior Robin Falk in the men's 100 free (48.28 seconds), sophomore Colin Pham in the men's 100 back (52.52 seconds), freshman Brooke Patel in the women's 100 breaststroke (1:13.38), junior and Andrew Oates in the men's 100 IM (54.58 seconds).
 
Ashland's women's 200 medley relay of Tomita, Pignato, Cox and freshman Raechel Serafimov won in 1:53.97, and the men's 200 free relay of junior Cole Huebner, Falk, junior Jack Elliott and Girz did the same in 1:26.35.
 
The Eagles received second-place finishes from:
  • Junior Mary Kate Prall in the women's 50 back (29.75 seconds), 100 back (1:03.07) and 100 IM (1:05.54).
  • Freshman Julia Reed in the women's 1,000 free (11:39.11) and 500 free (5:39.63).
  • Freshman Ella Howard in women's 1-meter diving (152.85 points) and 3-meter diving (160.05 points).
  • Sophomore Payton Meyer in the women's 100 fly (1:03.08) and 50 fly (28.30 seconds).
  • Junior Jason Basile in the men's 1,000 free (10:24.65).
  • Freshman Jaidyn Jordan in the women's 200 free (2:05.44).
  • Sophomore Grant Brown in the men's 200 free (1:50.07).
  • Pham in the men's 50 back (24.57 seconds).
  • Junior Ayden Mason in the men's 50 breaststroke (28.18 seconds).
  • Cox in the women's 50 free (26.28 seconds).
  • Freshman Tanner Collins in men's 1-meter diving (143.85 points).
  • Men's 200 medley relay of Pham, Oates, freshman Daniel Correa Hammer and Falk (1:37.01).
  • Women's 200 free relay of Jordan, Meyer, sophomore Anna Ramsier and Tomita (1:46.57).
