The 2024-25 Ashland University men's and women's swimming and diving teams opened the new season on Sunday (Oct. 13) at the Oberlin Early Invite.

Yasmim Tomita got off to a strong collegiate start on Sunday, earning individual victories in the women's 100-yard backstroke (1:00.56) and 200 back (2:11.50), and taking third place as part of the women's 400 medley relay (4:07.70) and 200 medley relay (1:54.98) – along with freshman

Joey Lenczyk in the men's 3-meter diving (244.95 points) and 1-meter diving (255.15).

Patel was the runner-up in the women's 200 individual medley (2:15.90), 400 IM (4:49.68), and 200 breaststroke (2:34.68), and sophomore
Colin Pham was second in the men's 100 back (52.90 seconds) and 200 back (1:57.65).

Riley Hunt was second in women's 3-meter diving (235.25 points) and 1-meter diving (224.85 points), junior
Nick Girz was runner-up in the men's 100 freestyle (47.69 seconds) and Pignato was second in the women's 200 butterfly (2:16.49).
