Ashland University's men's basketball team will return from its Costa Rica trip with a 2-1 record.
- On Monday (Aug. 14) against the Costa Rica All-Stars, the Eagles took a 73-70 decision. Senior center
Victor Searls had 18 points and five rebounds, sophomore point guard
Simon Wheeler added 12 points and seven assists, and sophomore forward
Maceo Williams collected 10 points and six rebounds.
- Tuesday's (Aug. 15) game was a 104-28 victory over the U-24 Costa Rica national team. Four Eagles scored in double figures – redshirt freshman wing
Cooper Davis (27 points on 10-of-10 from the field and 7-of-7 from 3-point range), freshman guard
Jordan Edwards added 16 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists; another freshman, guard
Isaac Strunk, posted 15 points on five 3-pointers, and fifth-year forward
Javin Etzler chipped in with 12 points.

Chris Mitchell added four points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals.
- On Wednesday (Aug. 16) against the Select All-Stars of Costa Rica, Ashland lost by an 86-69 count. Fifth-year guard
Ethan Conley led the Eagle charge with 22 points, Etzler added 13 points and four assists, Searls had 12 points, and Davis scored 10 points.
Over the last nine seasons, Ashland men's basketball has won 178 games, earned two conference tournament championships, and reached the NCAA Division II postseason four times.
