On Sunday (March 19) night at the Aspen Racquet Club in Wooster, Ohio, Ashland University's tennis teams lost to Walsh in Great Midwest Athletic Conference matchups.
The Eagle men (5-6 overall, 0-1 Great Midwest) lost 5-2, and the AU women (5-5, 1-1) lost 6-1.
NOTABLES
- In the men's match, Ashland took the doubles point by winning two of three matches – 6-3 by the No. 1 team of freshman Tomas Paskauskas and sophomore William Rassat, and 6-4 by the No. 2 team of freshman Rodrigo Moura Ludgero and sophomore Fabian Bussard.
- The AU men's lone singles victory was earned by Rassat at No. 1 (6-1, 6-3).
- Ashland's win on the women's side came from sophomore Claudia Adcock at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4.
