Eagle Women Open League Play With Sweep At Ursuline

On Saturday (March 18) night, Ashland University's women's tennis team opened Great Midwest Athletic Conference play with a 7-0 win at Ursuline.
 
The Eagles are 5-4 overall and 1-0 in the Great Midwest, and the Arrows are 0-2, 0-1.
 
NOTABLES
  • Ashland opened play by winning the doubles point, with all three wins coming by a 6-0 count – freshmen Constanza Arancibia and Ana Penteado at No. 1, sophomores Claudia Adcock and Kortney Reed at No. 2, and freshmen Anna Corbel and Alley Stoehr at No. 3.
  • At singles, all six Eagles won by 6-0, 6-0 decisions – Penteado at No. 1, Arancibia at No. 2, Adcock at No. 3, Corbel at No. 4, Reed at No. 5 and Stoehr at No. 6.
