Ashland Women Lose At Home To Western Illinois

On Sunday (Feb. 12) at the Aspen Racquet Club in nearby Wooster, Ohio, Ashland University's women's tennis team lost 6-1 to NCAA Division I Western Illinois.
 
The Eagles are 3-2, and the Leathernecks are 4-3.
 
WHAT HAPPENED

• Ashland's point on Sunday came from No. 3 singles, where freshman Anna Corbel took a 6-4, 6-1 decision. At No. 1 doubles, freshmen Constanza Arancibia and Ana Penteado won, 7-6 (2).

Ashland's women will go back to Wooster for another home match on Saturday (Feb. 18) at 4 p.m. against Lake Superior State (1-2).
