Ashland Men, Women Lose At Home To Fairmont State

On Saturday (Feb. 11) in nearby Wooster, Ohio, Ashland University's men's and women's tennis teams lost their home matches to Fairmont State.
 
The Eagle men (2-2) lost 5-2 to the Fighting Falcons (1-0), and the AU women (3-1) fell in a 6-1 decision to Fairmont (3-0).
 
WHAT HAPPENED
  • In the men's match, Ashland's points came from sophomore William Rassat at No. 1 singles (6-1, 7-6 (5)) and freshman Rodrigo Moura Ludgero at No. 4 singles (6-3, 4-6 (11-9)).
  • The AU women's point came from sophomore Claudia Adcock at No. 4 singles (6-4, 6-1). Adcock and fellow sophomore Kortney Reed won at No. 3 doubles, 6-4.
 
UP NEXT
Ashland's women will play on Sunday (Feb. 12) at 11 a.m. in Wooster against Western Illinois, while both teams will go back to Wooster on Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. to take on Lake Superior State.
