Grad 157-pounder
Drew Wiechers' championship paced the No. 15-ranked Ashland University wrestling team's showing on Saturday (Nov. 18) at the Findlay Open.
Wiechers went 6-0 on the day, posting two pins, a technical fall, a major decision and two decisions. One of his pins came in the first-place match, in 1:29 over Central Michigan's Chandler Amaker.
Redshirt freshman 184-pounder
Peyton Lemon finished second in his weight class on Saturday, starting off 4-0 with a tech fall, a major decision and two decisions before losing the first-place match in overtime against West Liberty's Ty McGeary.
Ashland's third and final placer was sophomore 285-pounder
Wyatt Bailey, who took fifth and went 6-1 with two wins, a medical forfeit, a decision and two overtime victories.
