Barrett Earns Second All-American Honor, Moves On In Nationals Consi Bracket

Senior Nate Barrett will earn his second NCAA Division II All-American award after going 2-1 on Day 1 of the 2026 NCAA Championships in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Friday (March 13).
 
Barrett, the Eagles' last All-American in 2023 after placing eighth at 174 pounds, won by major decision and decision to advance in the 165-pound consolation bracket. Barrett was unseeded coming into nationals.
 
At 149 pounds, No. 7-seeded junior Hayden Kuhn ended at 1-2 with a decision.
 
No. 3-seeded 197-pound junior Peyton Lemon, No. 8 seeded 174-pound senior Sevriano Garza and unseeded 184-pound redshirt freshman Fletcher Rose all ended at 0-2.
