Ashland Men, Women Lose Home Dual Against Clarion

On Friday (Nov. 17) night at the Messerly Natatorium, Ashland University's men's and women's swimming and diving teams lost to Clarion.
 
Junior Robin Falk earned two individual wins on Friday, taking the men's 200-yard freestyle (1:47.21) and the men's 500 free (4:55.84), and freshman Payton O'Toole did the same in the women's 200 individual medley (2:13.81) and women's 100 backstroke (1:02.01).
 
Freshman Colin Pham won the men's 100 back (54.56 seconds), and freshman Juliana Pignato came in first in the women's 500 free (5:23.82).
 
Runner-up finishes were earned by sophomore Nick Girz in the men's 50 free (22.25 seconds) and men's 100 free (49.07 seconds), Pham in the men's 200 free (1:48.12), sophomore Andrew Oates in the men's 100 breaststroke (1:01.40), sophomore Jason Basile in the men's 500 free (4:56.65), sophomore Paige Nicholson in the women's 100 breaststroke (1:12.00), and the men's 200 free relay quarter of Falk, Pham, sophomore Cole Huebner and Girz (1:28.25).
