On Friday (Oct. 27) night in Detroit, Mich., Ashland University's swimming and diving teams competed in a tri-meet with Wayne State and Davenport.

On the men's side, the Eagles lost 148-84 to the Warriors and 154-76 to the Panthers. On the women's side, AU lost 182-53 to Wayne State and 170-66 to Davenport.

- Earning second-place finishes on Friday night were junior Robin Falk in the men's 100-yard freestyle (48.19 seconds) and 200 free (1:46.05), sophomore Maddi Whitticar in women's 1-meter diving (204.85 points), freshman Riley Hunt in women's 3-meter diving (184.10 points), and the men's 400 free relay team of freshman Grant Brown, Falk, sophomore Cole Huebner and freshman Colin Pham (3:16.89).
- Third-place showings came from Hunt in women's 1-meter diving (200.45 points), Whitticar in women's 3-meter diving (183.60 points), sophomore Joey Lenczyk in men's 3-meter diving (218.80 points), freshman Juliana Pignato in the women's 100 free (55.51 seconds), the men's 400 medley relay team of freshman Evan Kemp, sophomore Nick Girz, senior Josh Hagan and Huebner (3:37.41), and the women's 400 free relay quartet of sophomore Paige Nicholson, Pignato, sophomore Mary Kate Prall and freshman Payton O'Toole (3:46.67).
