On Friday (Oct. 20) night at Findlay, Ashland University's men's and women's swimming and diving teams both lost to the Oilers in the first dual of the new season.

Findlay's men took a 171-47 decision, and the UF women won 177-57.

- Sophomore Joey Lenczyk won both the 1-meter (244.25 points) and 3-meter (231.40 points) diving on the men's side, while freshman Riley Hunt did the same on the women's side (216.65 points in 1-meter and 194.20 in 3-meter).
- Earning runner-up finishes on Friday night were freshman Payton O'Toole in the women's 200-yard freestyle (1:58.03), freshman Juliana Pignato in the women's 200 butterfly (2:15.30), and sophomore Maddi Whitticar in women's 3-meter diving (194.10 points).
- Third-place finishes were turned in by sophomore Jason Basile in the men's 1,000 free (season-best 10:12.43) and 500 free (4:58.18), freshman Payton Meyer in the women's 200 individual medley (career-best 2:21.81) and women's 200 fly (2:18.97), Pignato in the women's 200 free (2:00.98), Whitticar in women's 1-meter diving (187.40 points), senior Josh Hagan in the men's 200 fly (2:00.84), and sophomore Cole Huebner in the men's 100 free (48.47 seconds).
