WHAT HAPPENED
- Junior Tyler Masters got Ashland on the board early, defeating Travis Browning by an 8-3 count at 125 pounds. Trailing 10-3, the Eagles received back-to-back wins from junior Nick Carbone, 8-2 over Max Stedeford, at 157 pounds, and junior Drew Wiechers, a 12-4 major decision over Jaden Reagle, at 165 pounds.
- In his first action of the season, junior Daniel Beemer won an 18-7 major decision over Trever Begin at 184 pounds to put AU ahead at 14-13, but the Lakers won at 197 and 285 to seal the victory.
