On Saturday (Jan. 29) at the University of Kentucky Rod McCravy Memorial meet, Ashland University's men's 4x400-meter relay quartet vaulted to the top of the NCAA Division II list.

Ryan Rager finished third in 3:12.08 – a time which not only moves them to No. 1 so far this indoor campaign, but also is a new provisional time for the 2022 NCAA Division II Championships (March 11-12 in Pittsburg, Kan.).
WHAT HAPPENED
- Also at Kentucky, senior Ian Johnson won the men's mile in 4:10.32.
- On the second and final day of the Findlay Alumni Classic on Saturday, senior Aaron Banks earned a new provisional time in winning the men's 60 dash in 6.84 seconds.
- Also winning at Findlay were senior Nate Stout in the elite men's shot put (16.93 meters/55-feet-6½), freshman Ethan Schuster in the men's 400 dash (50.97 seconds), and junior Nick Ponzi in the men's 800 run (1:54.92).
- Second-place Findlay finishes were earned by sophomore Peyton Perini in the women's 400 dash (1:01.97), sophomore McKenna Woodruff in the women's 800 run (2:22.08), senior Jake Hall in the men's 800 run (1:55.15), and the women's 4x400 relay team of Woodruff, freshman Madison Stacey, freshman Abby Below and Perini (4:12.60).
- Junior Joel Pospisil took third in the men's mile run (4:25.61) at Findlay.
