In their final tune-up prior to the 2022 Great Midwest Athletic Conference/Mountain East Championships, Ashland University's men's and women's swimming and diving teams played host on Saturday (Jan. 29) afternoon to Findlay's men and women and Bluffton's women on Senior Day at the Messerly Natatorium.

The Eagle women topped Bluffton, 231-28, while both AU teams lost to the Oilers – men 180-88, women 183-110.

WHAT HAPPENED
- Junior Abby Locke won three individual events on Saturday - the women's 200-yard breaststroke (2:29.09), the women's 200 individual medley (2:15.42) and the women's 200 freestyle (2:01.96), while senior Isaac Osterfeld won two events - the men's 1-meter (199.25 points) and 3-meter (205.80 points) diving.
- Also earning wins for AU on Saturday were junior Franci Aleksi in the men's 1,000 freestyle (9:57.88), junior Amar Sapcanin in the men's 200 breaststroke (2:12.72), and sophomore Sydney Porinchok in the women's 200 butterfly (2:20.24).
- Freshman Colleen Cox was second in the women's 50 free (25.74 seconds) and women's 100 free (57.18 seconds), while freshman Kristal Boyd-Hughes was the runner-up in the women's 1-meter (205.92 points) and 3-meter (199.60 points) diving.
- Also finishing second in individual events were freshman Weston Brown in the men's 1,000 free (10:49.60), Sapcanin in the men's 200 free (1:48.95), senior Jacob Keilholz in the men's 50 free (22.79 seconds), senior Sydney Kermath in the women's 200 backstroke (2:16.24), Aleksi in the men's 500 free (4:45.78), senior Abigail Ellsworth in the women's 100 fly (1:03.85), senior Matt Filsinger in the men's 200 IM (2:01.68), and senior Morgan Gardner in the women's 200 free (2:04.41).
- AU runner-up relays were the women's 200 medley of Kermath, junior Makayla Tarkenton, Porinchok and Cox (1:52.91), and the women's 200 free of Cox, Ellsworth, Kermath and Porinchok (1:44.71).
