If it's a meet day, then it's another day for Ashland University senior
Trevor Bassitt to add to his nationals provisional list, jump to No. 1 in NCAA Division II in an event, and turn in one of the best times in the world.
Â
In the case of Friday (Jan. 28) night at the University of Kentucky Rod McCravy Memorial Meet, Bassitt's time of 20.89 seconds in the men's 200-meter dash was good for second place, but more importantly, it is his third provisional mark of the winter for the 2022 NCAA Division II Championships (March 11-12 in Pittsburg, Kan.), is the best in the nation, and is tied for ninth in the world this indoor campaign.
