Both Ashland University tennis teams and eight Eagle tennis players have earned 2020-21 academic recognition from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Collegiate tennis players need to have a grade-point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year to be considered for the individual award, while collegiate teams need to have a GPA of at least 3.20 for the team honor.

The AU women's tennis team's GPA for the 2020-21 academic year was 3.58. Five Eagle women were named 2020-21 ITA NCAA Division II Scholar-Athletes – sophomore
