No. 7 AU Grapplers End November At Findlay Open

The No. 7-ranked Ashland University wrestling team finished its first month of action in the 2021-22 season on Saturday (Nov. 20) at the Findlay Open.
 
WHAT HAPPENED
  • Senior Carson Speelman turned in the Eagles' top effort of the day, finishing in second place at 149 pounds. Speelman (9-1) was 4-1 on the day, including a pin and a technical fall.
  • Another senior, Chance Esmont, took third at 157 pounds. He was 5-1, one of those victories was by pin, and he is 9-2 on the season.
  • Yet another senior, Cameron Jenkins, was fourth at 165 pounds. Jenkins was 4-2, one of those wins was a major decision, and he is 10-3 so far this season.
 
UP NEXT
Ashland is off until Dec. 4 at 2 p.m., when the Eagles play host to Davenport for their first home dual since Jan. 17, 2020.
