AU Women Win Fourth Straight In 7-0 Rout

Ashland University's women's tennis team won its fourth straight match on Saturday (March 30) against Davis & Elkins.

The Eagles won 7-0, their third straight win by such a margin. They won all matches and did not drop a set.

Doubles was swept by Ashland. Sophomore Anna Hart and junior Brianna Brdicka won 7-6 in the No. 1 slot. That was the closest match, as freshman Gabriella Hudec and sophomore Hazuki Ogino won 6-2, and the duo of sophomore Camille Ringot and freshman Larissa Wieser won 6-1.

Singles was more of the same for AU. Hudec won 6-2, 6-2 in the top singles spot. No. 2 singles featured Ringot winning her match 6-3, 6-0, while Hart did not have much trouble at No. 3, winning 6-1, 6-1.

Brdicka rolled to victory in the No. 4 spot, 6-3, 6-2. Ogino did not lose any games in her match, a dominant 6-0, 6-0 rout. Junior Allison Brooks won her No. 6 singles match by default, as she did not face an opponent.

The Eagles will go for five straight wins on Thursday (April 4) at home against Findlay at 3 p.m.
