Eagles Edged Out 6-3 By Senators

To begin its spring break trip in Hilton Head Island, S.C., the Ashland University women's tennis team lost, 6-3, to Davis & Elkins on Sunday (March 5). 

Winning their first doubles match of the spring season in the No. 2 spot were senior Meghann Fitzpatrick and junior Elizabeth Kidd, as they beat a duo of Senators, 8-5. 

Eagle sophomores Natalie Keron, at No. 3, and Chelsea Myers, at No. 6, also earned their first singles victories this spring. Keron won, 6-2 6-1, and Myers won, 9-8 (5).

Keron and sophomore Kaitlin Snider nearly earned a win in the third doubles spot, ultimately falling, 8-5.

UP NEXT: Ashland has four more matches in Hilton Head Island. Its next is against Catawba on Monday (March 6).
