Men’s Soccer Loses League Game At Timberwolves

The Ashland University men's soccer team lost a 2-0 Great Midwest Athletic Conference decision at Northwood on Saturday (Sept. 19), and now is 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the league in 2026.
 
Northwood (2-3-1, 2-1) scored once in each half. In the 26th minute, the Timberwolves broke the scoreless tie on an unassisted goal by Emmanuel Almond.
 
Then, in the 87th minute, Brendan Gerard tallied on assists from Jackson Dear and Edgar Pina Alvarez.
 
Ashland had the advantage over Northwood on Saturday in both shots (17-10) and corner kicks (8-4).
 
The Eagles return to Ferguson Field for another G-MAC contest vs. Walsh (1-5-1, 0-3-1) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday (Sept. 24).
