For a third consecutive week, Ashland University's women's soccer team is ranked No. 11 in the Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization for Coaches (IWSOC) NCAA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, in partnership with United Soccer Coaches (USC).
The Eagles (4-1-1 overall, 2-0 Great Midwest Athletic Conference) will have a split home-road week in league play coming up – Thursday (Sept. 17) at 6:30 p.m. vs. Ohio Dominican (1-4, 0-2) at Ferguson Field in the program's annual Morgan's Message game, then Saturday (Sept. 19) at 7 p.m. at Northwood (3-3, 2-0).
"Great to be able to start conference play going 2-0," said Ashland head coach
Cayleb Paulino. "This week will provide new opportunities and challenges for our program. Our job is continue to stack 2-0 weeks, and it starts at home Thursday night.
"The group is continuing to find belief in themselves and each other. We look forward to build on the success we had last week."
Through Monday (Sept. 14), Ashland is tied for second in NCAA Division II in corner kicks (51) and corner kicks per game (8.5).
