On Wednesday (May 27) afternoon, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced that two of Ashland University's seniors – defender
Lauren Hinders and attacker
Rachel Crumbacher – have been selected to play in the 2026 IWLCA Division II Senior All-Star Game.
A Great Midwest Athletic Conference first-team and all-conference tournament team choice this spring, Hinders was the veteran leader of a defense which yielded just 8.34 goals per game. She started all 21 games in 2026, scoring two goals, adding an assist, picking up 41 ground balls and causing 22 turnovers.
Crumbacher finished this past season with 63 goals and 34 assists for 97 points, along with 21 ground balls. She was the Great Midwest Attacker of the Year, first-team all-conference, Great Midwest tournament Most Valuable Player and IWLCA first-team All-Midwest Region.
The all-star game will be May 30 at 3 p.m. in Sparks, Md., on Tierney Field at USA Lacrosse Headquarters. Hinders and Crumbacher will play for the White All-Stars against the Blue All-Stars.
Ashland finished 2026 at 16-5 overall and 8-0 in the Great Midwest – winning the conference regular-season and tournament championships for the second season in a row. The Eagles also qualified for the NCAA postseason for a second straight season, and won an NCAA playoff game for the first time in program history.
