No. 6 STUNT Splits To Start Michigan Trip

The No. 6-ranked Ashland University STUNT team began its weekend Michigan trip on Saturday (Feb. 28) with a 26-4 loss to the top-ranked team in Division I, California Baptist, then a 27-7 win over No. 15-ranked East Stroudsburg.
 
After 10 wins in the last 11 games, the Eagles are 10-3 on the season.
 
Junior back/base/tumbler Makiah Francis paced Ashland in the win over the Warriors with 45 points. Sophomore base/tumbler Lilly Johnson and junior base/tumbler Emma Miller each scored a team-high four points vs. the Lancers.
 
COMING UP
Ashland (6-0 Great Midwest Athletic Conference) will finish the northern trip on Sunday (March 1) at noon with a league game at No. 9 Davenport (4-1, 3-0).
