Nationally-Ranked Eagle Men, Women Turn In 11 New, Improved Nationals Marks At Tune-Up

One more regular-season indoor track and field meet was on tap for Ashland University's nationally-ranked men and women prior to the start of the 2026 postseason, and Saturday's (Feb. 21) Ashland Collegiate Tune-Up at the Niss Athletic Center didn't disappoint.
 
The No. 10-ranked Eagle women and No. 17 AU men turned in 11 new and improved provisional marks for the 2026 NCAA Division II Championships in Virginia Beach, Va., on March 13-14. Six of those were in winning efforts: Eagles finishing in second place with nationals marks on Saturday were:
  • Sophomore Justin Patrick in the men's weight throw (new, 18.27 meters/59-feet-11¼)
  • Junior Jordan Rosales in the women's 800 run (new, 2:11.98).
  • Freshman Vivian Walter in the women's 60 hurdles (improved, 8.74 seconds).
  • Sophomore Alisha Hill in the women's weight throw (new, 17.86 meters/58-feet-7¼).
Sophomore Ayden Bidwell improved his previous provo in the men's weight throw elite by placing sixth at 18.68 meters/61-feet-3½.

FIRST PLACE
  • Senior Emilie Lemon in the women's mile (5:02.42)
  • Eggleston in the men's 400 dash (49.06 seconds)
  • Rios in the women's long jump (5.64 meters/18-feet-6)
  • Sophomore Medgine Wojton in the women's 200 dash (24.79 seconds)
  • Junior Molly Winner in the women's shot put (15.94 meters/52-feet-3¾)
  • Head coach A.G. Kruger in the men's weight throw elite (20.33 meters/66-feet-8½).
SECOND PLACE
  • Freshman Leila Evans in the women's 200 dash (25.27 seconds)
  • Sophomore Trinity Keith in the men's 60 dash (6.839 seconds)
  • Freshman Braxton Moore in the men's high jump (1.95 meters/6-feet-4¾)
  • Sophomore Andrew Gall in the men's 800 run (1:57.14)
  • Brister in the men's 200 dash (21.74 seconds)
  • Junior Cameron Nightingale in the men's pole vault (4.90 meters/16-feet-0¾).
  • Wojton in the women's 60 dash (7.63 seconds)
  • Assistant coach DaJuan Seward in the men's long jump (7.09 meters/23-feet-3¼)
THIRD PLACE
  • Evans in the women's 60 dash (7.66 seconds)
  • Junior Justin Richards in the men's long jump (6.90 meters/22-feet-7¾)
  • Sophomore Wes Taylor in the men's mile (4:15.82)
  • Senior Isiah King in the men's 60 hurdles (8.29 seconds)
  • Junior Abigail Hartzler in the women's high jump (1.61 meters/5-feet-3¼)
  • Redshirt freshman Reese Landis in the women's 3,000 run (10:18.35)
  • Sophomore Miranda Stone in the women's weight throw (17.61 meters/57-feet-9½).
  • Redshirt freshman Meagan Rini in the women's shot put (13.42 meters/44-feet-0½).
  • Sophomore Hayden Valenti in the men's weight throw elite (19.64 meters/64-feet-5¼).
COMING UP
The Eagles playing host to the 2026 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday (Feb. 27-28).
