In the first all-time meeting between the two programs on Wednesday (Feb. 18), Ashland University's women's lacrosse team lost 18-9 at No. 11-ranked Slippery Rock.
The Eagles stand at 1-1 on the young 2026 season, and it was the season-opener for The Rock.
Ashland scored the game's first goal 3½ minutes in, but Slippery Rock followed with the next 10 tallies en route to victory.
Senior attacker
Rachel Crumbacher, already the Eagle program's all-time leader in points and assists, scored twice on Wednesday to give her 145 in her AU career – one shy of
Cassady Becker's program mark of 146.
WRAPPING IT UP
- Sophomore midfielder Tori Wanat paced the Ashland offense with four points on two goals and two assists.
- Senior goalkeeper Annie Duncan made 10 saves.
- Slippery Rock had a 35-22 shots advantage.
