No. 8 STUNT Opens 2026 With Losses To UK, Trevecca

Beginning the 2026 season on Sunday (Feb. 1) in Lexington, Ky., the No. 8-ranked Ashland University STUNT team lost 30-9 to No. 2-ranked (Division I) Kentucky, and 23-20 to No. 9 Trevecca Nazarene.
 
Leading the way for the Eagles against the Wildcats was junior back/base/tumbler Makiah Francis with 13 points. AU's top scorer in the game vs. the Trojans was junior base/tumbler Kayla Bumgardner with 30 points.
