Tom Woodward is making a habit of earning season-ending Great Midwest Athletic Conference awards.
Woodward was named the 2026 Great Midwest men's soccer Offensive Player of the Year on Thursday (Nov. 5) afternoon, as the circuit released its postseason awards. Woodward, who was the 2025 G-MAC Freshman of the Year, also is an all-conference first-teamer for the second time in two seasons.
In starting all 18 games this season, Woodward led the conference with 12 goals and 28 points. The goal total is the fifth-most in a season in AU men's soccer history, and the point total is tied for fifth-most.
All of Woodward's goals came in the final 13 games of 2026, and he had four multi-goal contests this fall – including a four-goal outburst in the season-finale vs. Ohio Dominican at Ferguson Field on Oct. 27.
Joining Woodward on the all-conference team is junior defender
Daniel Drage. In his first season in the program, Drage started all 18 games, led the Eagles in minutes played (1,587), and recorded three goals.
The Ashland men concluded 2026 at 7-10-1 overall and 5-8-1 in the Great Midwest.
