Ashland University's cross country teams have competed in four meets so far in the fall of 2026.
Now, Eagle cross country runners have earned four Great Midwest Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week awards in the fall of 2026. On Monday (Oct. 12) afternoon, redshirt freshman
Reese Landis became the latest, following her effort on Saturday (Oct. 10) morning at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
Landis now is 2-for-2 in winning collegiate cross country races after taking the Carnegie Mellon Invite's 5K in 17:22.3. In the process, she topped a pair of NCAA Division I West Virginia runners who placed in the top four.
She joins what is becoming a long line of Eagle cross country conference honorees this season:
- Sophomore Ava Parrett after Wright State's Mike Baumer Cross Country Classic on Sept. 4.
- Fifth-year Braeden Geist following the All-Ohio Classic at Cedarville in Sept. 18.
- Junior Wes Taylor after the G-MAC Preview Meet at Tiffin on Sept. 25.
- Landis following the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Saturday.
The Ashland men and women will conclude the regular season on Oct. 24 at the University of Alabama in Huntsville Chargers XC Invitational.
