In the first meet of the second semester on Saturday (Jan. 10), Ashland University's men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed in a quad at Saginaw Valley State with Hillsdale and Lake Superior State.
The Eagle men topped LSSU (180-43) and lost to SVSU (179-59), while the AU women beat the Lakers (190-28) and lost to the Cardinals (153.5-87.5) and the Chargers (145-92).
Junior
Riley Hunt earned Ashland's wins on Saturday, taking the top spot in both women's 1-meter (284.30 points) and 3-meter (238.85) diving.

Nick Girz in the men's 50-yard freestyle (21.76 seconds) and men's 100 free (47.18 seconds), freshman
Altin Rowland in men's 1-meter (207.10 points) and 3-meter (201.75) diving, junior
Payton O'Toole in the women's 100 free (54.86 seconds), sophomore
Yasmim Tomita in the women's 100 backstroke (59.14 seconds), junior
Colin Pham in the men's 100 back (53.36 seconds), and senior

Hannah Yemec was third in both the women's 200 individual medley (2:17.75) and 100 butterfly (1:00.06), and other individual thirds were turned in by junior
