A statistically-dominant game for the No. 17-ranked Ashland University women's soccer team resulted in a 3-0 win at Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday (Sept. 27) afternoon.

Thanks to a fourth consecutive shutout and a fifth straight win, the Eagles are 6-2 overall and 4-0 in the Great Midwest – remaining in a first-place tie with Cedarville. The Panthers are 0-7-1, 0-4.

The scoreless start eventually went Ashland's way in the 30

Emily Mendrick, who played the most minutes (25) of any Eagle substitute in the first half, scored her third goal of the season. Sophomore midfielder
Audrey Kalmar helped with her first assist of the season.

Hicks capped the road win in the 86
th minute with her eighth goal of the campaign – one of the top figures in NCAA Division II. That assist went to freshman midfielder
Karleigh Cress, her first collegiate helper.

SHOTS, SHOTS AND MORE SHOTS
- Fifth-year goalkeeper Jaya Daniel didn't face a shot on goal, and saw her season goals-against average drop to 0.47.
- Ashland took 26 of the game's 27 shots on Saturday, and had all 12 shots on frame.
- The Eagles, one of D-II's top teams in corner kicks per game, took all 12 in the contest.
