In a Great Midwest Athletic Conference road game on Wednesday (Sept. 24) night, Ashland University's men's soccer team lost 3-0 at Ohio Dominican.
The Eagles are 2-3-1 overall and 1-2 in the Great Midwest, and the Panthers are 2-4-1, 2-1.
In the 16
th minute, the Panthers scored on an Eagle own goal. Then, in the 69
th minute, ODU upped its advantage to 2-0 when Emmanual Frimpong put the ball in the back of the net on assists from Brad Leonard and Ean Encarnacion.
The Panthers capped their home win in the 89
th minute on a goal by Evan Reppeto, and helpers from Kaiden Koch and Logan French.
WRAPPING IT UP
- The Eagles doubled the Panthers in shots (14-7), but each team only had three shots on goal.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Alvaro Boned made one save.
- There were only four corner kicks on Wednesday, and AU had three of them.
