In an early-season neutral-site matchup of undefeated volleyball teams on Friday (Sept. 12) afternoon, Ashland University lost 3-1 (21-25, 25-22, 26-24, 25-20) to Newberry on Day 2 of the Flagler Invitational.

Abbey Queen racked up 36 digs on Friday – the third-most single-match digs in Ashland volleyball history. Queen now has two of the top three digs marks in program history.

THE WRAP-UP
- In addition to Queen, both sophomore defensive specialist Kaylee Davis (18) and senior defensive specialist Macy McNamara (12) also ended with double-digit digs.
- Freshman outside hitter Jenna Shedden paced the Ashland offense with 16 kills, and junior middle hitter Ravin Morgan (12) and sophomore outside hitter Sara Krizsa (10) also finished in double figures.
- Junior setter Marin Dixon set up Eagle hitters to the tune of 42 assists.
