The No. RV Ashland University baseball team concluded the 2025 regular season with a 6-1 Great Midwest Athletic Conference victory at Hillsdale on Saturday (May 3) afternoon.

Having split the four-game road conference series, the Eagles end the regular year at 35-15 overall and 24-8 in the Great Midwest. They will be the No. 3 seed in the upcoming conference tournament.

Gage Weaver put the Eagles on the board first with a two-out two-run double in the top of the third inning, Graduate left fielder
Max Caron's RBI fielder's choice in the fourth made it a 3-0 score.

The Chargers scored their first run in the bottom of the fourth, but Ashland responded with three runs in the seventh – a Weaver RBI single, an RBI single from senior catcher

AILES CONTINUES STRONG CAMPAIGN…AND THE REST OF THE STORY
- Sophomore right-handed pitcher Griffin Ailes (3-0) went the first five innings on Saturday, striking out six and allowing just three hits, a run and two walks.
- Weaver ended 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a double, while Caron, junior shortstop Collin Overholt and junior catcher Noah Goddard each picked up two of AU's 13 hits.
- Ashland head coach John Schaly now is alone in 20th place on the NCAA's all-time all-levels baseball wins list with 1,349.
