On Wednesday (April 16) at Deb Miller Field at the Archer Ballpark Complex, Ashland University's softball team lost 5-2 and 2-1 decisions to Indianapolis in a pair of non-conference match-ups.

The Eagles are 22-14, while the Greyhounds are 32-18.

Indianapolis scored three times in the top of the second inning of Game 1, then followed that with single runs in the fourth and fifth frames. Ashland posted two runs in the sixth on RBI hits from sophomore catcher
Delaney Keith (single) and senior designated player
Cassidy Shaffer (double).

In Game 2, the Eagles went on top in the fourth on an RBI single from senior left fielder
Chloe McClure, but the Greyhounds scored their two runs in the fifth.

- Game 1 saw freshman Abby Measel (0-2) start in the pitcher's circle. She went the first two innings, striking out two and allowing four hits, three runs and a walk.
- McClure was 2-for-4 with an RBI in the nightcap, and Keith and senior first baseman Lily Rockwell each ended 2-for-4.
- Shaffer (6-1) took the relief loss, striking out two and yielding five hits, two runs (one earned) and three walks in 4 1/3 frames.
